Our goal is to breed quality, hypoallergenic Siberian cats that meet the breed standard and excel in beauty, health, and personality. Golden Lion Siberians works diligently to raise healthy, balanced, beautiful and playful kittens. Siberians are among the healthiest breeds of domestic cats. Siberian cats are special for their naturally hypoallergenic coats, their curious love of water, and their warm, dog-like, affectionate personalities. They're playful explorers, loyal companions, and the ultimate snuggle buddies. At Golden Lion Cattery, we raise kittens in our home as family members and socialize them with kids. Each kitten is raised in our home with attentive care, surrounded by love and gentle socialization from the very beginning. They form deep bonds with family members and often greet at the door. They typically get along well with kids and other household pets, including dogs. They communicate using chirps, trills and gentle meows rather than just standard noises.
As a small, passionate hobby cattery registered with TICA, we are dedicated to exceptional health, stunning beauty and truly wonderful temperament. We prioritize wellness, whimsy, and the enchanting nature of this breed. We are focusing on ethical, responsible practices that honour the magic and heritage of these extraordinary cats.
Why choose a Siberian cat? They're affectionate without being clingy, intelligent enough to learn tricks, and gentle with kids and other pets. Many allergy sufferers find relief with Siberians, thanks to lower Fel d1 protein levels. They are therapy cats. Plus, their muscular build and agile leaps make them endless entertainers.
About Our Cattery
Our Cattery is located near Vancouver, BC, Canada. We are registered with TICA . We breed Siberian cats with passion, love and care. We love our cats deeply, which is why their health, well-being, and environment are so important to us. Every cat in our home is deeply loved and cherished, with a unique personality that makes them truly special for us.
From the very beginning, our kittens are surrounded by love, care and plenty of gentle attention and socialization. They are raised entirely inside our home, where they are free to explore, play and discover the world around them. They become part of our everyday life, following us from room to room, playing throughout the house, curling up beside us on the sofa, and peacefully falling asleep close to us. This loving home environment helps our kittens grow into confident, affectionate, and well-socialized companions.
When the time comes for them to leave for their forever homes, we never truly say goodbye. A little piece of our hearts goes with each kitten, and we treasure the memories we have made together. We are grateful to stay connected with their wonderful families, watch our kittens grow, share their journey, and bring love and happiness into their homes. To us, adopting a kitten is not a goodbye; it’s the beginning of a lifelong connection and a beautiful relationship that we always cherish.

Hypoallergenic Cats
Siberian cats are often described as hypoallergenic because they typically produce lower levels of allergens than most other breeds.
While no cat is completely free of allergens, Siberians are known for having some of the lowest allergen levels, making them a great option for many people with sensitivities. In our experience, most allergy-prone owners can welcome a Siberian kitten home with little to no reaction, or they may notice only a mild initial response that usually fades within the first few days or weeks.
The majority of cat allergies are triggered by a protein found in a cat’s saliva and skin oils called Fel d1. Most cats produce this protein in high amounts, but Siberians consistently produce much lower levels. Because of this, they are often an excellent match for individuals who struggle with the most common type of cat allergy.
Breeders and owners frequently report that allergy-sensitive individuals can live comfortably with Siberians. Many experience no symptoms at all, while others notice only mild reactions that diminish over time.
Visitation Policy
For our family's privacy and our cats' health, we do not offer in-home visitations.
Maintaining a controlled, clean environment is essential for the well-being of our kittens and adult cats. Young kittens have developing immune systems, and even a brief visit from an outside home can unintentionally introduce viruses, bacteria, or parasites. Many common feline illnesses, such as ringworm, respiratory infections, and gastrointestinal viruses, can be carried on clothing, shoes, or hands without any visible signs.
By limiting visitation, we protect our cats from unnecessary exposure and ensure that every kitten leaves our home healthy, strong, and ready to thrive in yours. Thank you for your understanding and for helping us maintain the highest standard of care.

Grooming Tips
Please DO NOT declaw your kitten. Declawing is painful, unnecessary, and can lead to long-term physical and behavioural problems. Instead, build healthy grooming habits early; your kitten will thank you.
Regular nail trims prevent painful snags in fabric and help your kitten stay comfortable. Choose a quiet moment when your kitten is relaxed. Gently massage her paws so she becomes comfortable being handled. Press the toe lightly to extend the claw. Use cat nail trimmers or small human clippers to remove just the sharp tip. Avoid cutting near the quick, the pink area inside the nail. Watching a few YouTube tutorials can help you feel confident.
Getting your kitten used to bathing and blow-drying early is especially important if you plan to show your cat. Use warm water and a gentle cat-safe shampoo. Towel dry first, then introduce the blow dryer on a low, quiet setting. Brush regularly to keep the coat clean, reduce shedding, and prevent mats.
Healthy teeth start young. Begin by gently rubbing your kitten’s teeth and gums with cat toothpaste on your finger. Once she’s comfortable, transition to the small toothbrush that comes with most cat dental kits. Regular brushing helps prevent tartar buildup and future dental disease.
Simple routine cleaning keeps your kitten comfortable and reduces irritation. Use a warm, damp cotton ball to wipe away ear wax or eye discharge. Avoid inserting anything into the ear canal; only clean what you can see.
Reservation Policy
To reserve a kitten, we require a non-refundable $400 deposit. This good-faith payment secures your place and ensures that your chosen kitten is held exclusively for you. To join the waiting list, the fee is a non-refundable $100, but it will be applied to the final price.
Deposits may be paid via E-transfer (for Canadian clients) or Zelle (for USA clients), or another mutually agreed-upon payment method.
